 Was ist Powerplay?



Neben Programmierung ist mein zweites Hobby die Musik, ganz besonders alles was mit Techno, Trance und House zu tun hat. Ausser dass ich solche Musik kaufe und höre (z.B. auf http://www.di.fm/) mache ich seit 1995 in unregelmäßigen Abständen auch selbst Mixe. Anfänglich waren die Mixe meist 60 Minuten lang und hatten am Ende eine Abmoderation. Inzwischen sind die Mixe meist 2 bis 3 Stunden lang und ich rede nicht mehr rein ;-)

In den Anfangsjahren habe ich noch mit einfachen CD-Laufwerken an Rechner und Stereoanlage gemixt, ohne die Möglichkeit das Tempo zweier Stücke aneinander angleichen zu können. Die Übergänge sind entsprechend zum Teil "abenteuerlich" ;-) . Mit Ausgabe 47 aus dem Jahr 2002 habe ich dann komplett auf Software umgestellt, womit dann auch die Übergänge professioneller sind. Seit Ausgabe 79 (13.09.2003) verwende ich Traktor von Native Instruments zum Mixen, inzwischen in der Version Traktor Pro 3, und seit Ausgabe 174 (08.06.2013) mit dem zu Traktor passenden DJ-Controller Traktor Kontrol S4. Zu diesem haben sich inzwischen noch ein Traktor F1 und ein Traktor X1 gesellt, sowie der K2 von Allen & Heath.

Leider kann ich meine Mixe aus rechtlichen Gründen nicht zum Download anbieten, aber immerhin die Playlists.
